Powers/Abilities:
★ Well skilled in the use of a myriad of advanced weaponry
★ In depth knowledge of the supernatural and how to kill monsters/creatures/etc
★ Skilled in hand to hand combat
★ Torture (skill learned in hell)
Beyond these special skills, Dean is just a human. His bones break, his heart hurts, he can die, get injured.
Inventory: The clothes he's wearing; jeans, tee, flanner, workboots, and his amulet. He also keeps his gun tucked into the waistband of his pants (really safe, Deano).
green duffle bag that contains a few sets of clothes, his jacket, a jug of holy oil, a flask of holy water, a crucifix, a zippo lighter, some rope, wallet, lockpick, box cutter, and switchblade. His fathers journal as well as ruby's knife is also tucked into the bag.
Job History: He'll tell you he's in 'pest control', but Dean's a hunter, which means a few things. He's excellent when it comes to detective work, because most of the time Dean ends up with a weird case in his lap and virtually no information, so it's important that he's smart enough to snoop around and not get caught. It requires the art of deception, sometimes impersonating anything from federal agents to the CDC, breaking and entering, grave desecration, etc.
He's also excellent at hustling pool, playing poker, and credit card fraud.
Suppressions: lol god, the things dean suppresses jfc
Dean has spent the vast majority of his life looking out for Sam and protecting him; as such, he has made sure to repress any and all of his own emotions in order to remain a functional parent figure. He doesn’t often talk about his feelings, referring to vulnerability as ‘chick-flick’ moments, and tends to brush off Sam’s concerns about Dean’s trauma as ‘no big deal’. Even when he returns from Hell, Dean lies about his experiences, says that he doesn’t remember anything despite his brother's continued concern. It’s a defense mechanism obviously, but it’s a way to keep himself and his brother safe from each other, as well. The vast majority of Dean’s life has been dominated by hunting, of learning how to kill supernatural creatures, and of ugly, toxic masculinity defining his life-views from a very early age. The Winchester men are manly men, they shoot things and kill monsters and don’t have all those weepy womanly feelings. Dean generally hides many things he likes, because it’s ‘girly’ to enjoy anime or soap operas.
Is he successful? Eh, it varies. Dean does tend to eventually break, and is definitely the crier of the two brothers. They have their bro moment, and then they move on and rarely speak of it again. So yes kind of yes and no.
Also, it's a sort of common headcanon that Dean is also a repressed bisexual, hiding it because his father was a toxic fuck who wouldn't have been kind about it. Is that successful?
Probably not as much as he thinks it is.
Greatest Fear: Losing Sam. He literally goes to Hell to save his brothers life. Codependent bastards.
Greatest Desire: Most people, I think, would say 'stop the apocalypse', 'save Sammy', etc, but honestly? Dean is an 80 year old man in a 30 year old body. He's tired, he's spent, he's sick of this shit and his greatest, deepest desire? Retire to the mountains, in a cabin. Maybe hit the beach with Sam and Cas, sip some fruity drinks, and relax.
And maybe stop the apocalypse, I guess.
Greatest Regret: At this point in his canon, his greatest regret is probably breaking the first seal in Hell, and starting the apocalypse.
